What Information should I have ready when reporting my claim?
- Your insurance company name and policy number.
- Police report with report number and information about any other parties involved in the claim.
- Where you can be reached during the day and evening.
- Your email address.
- Keep any information related to your claim ready when your adjuster calls.
Claims Contacts
- Write down the names and contact numbers of the people who call you about your claim.
- In some cases, the adjuster and the insurance appraiser will both be in contact with you.
- Call us anytime with your questions or concerns.
Should I Make a Claim or Not?
- There are some situations where you are wise to consider whether or not you should present a claim. We can help you decide.
- Is the loss greater than my policy deductible?
- Is it covered? Remember that your policy has limits and exclusions that mean some losses are not covered.
- Will my premiums increase? If I make a claim will the premiums increase beyond the settlement I receive from the insurance company? We will give you advice on how best to proceed, that’s what brokers do.
